Crosshue privacy policy

Crosshue is made by Static Toad Labs (Ireland). The short version: we collect no data at all. There are no ads, no analytics and no third-party code in the app.

What Crosshue stores

  • Your progress and settings (stars, streaks, statistics and preferences) are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. They are never sent to us.
  • Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details or Apple ID. Crosshue only asks Apple whether "Crosshue Pro" is unlocked on your account.
  • The Home Screen and Lock Screen widget shows today's Dailies from a small copy that Crosshue keeps on your device, in storage shared only with its own widget: each Daily's difficulty, whether you've solved it, your stars and run, and a miniature of the board. It never leaves your device, and it's deleted with the app.

Game Center (optional)

If you're signed in to Game Center, Crosshue sends your achievements and leaderboard scores (Daily times, longest Daily run, total stars) to Apple's Game Center so you can compare them with other players. This is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; Static Toad Labs doesn't receive it. You can sign out or change what others see in Settings › Game Center.

What Crosshue does not do

  • No accounts or sign-in.
  • No analytics or tracking of our own.
  • No collection of your location, contacts or photos.
  • No ads, and no third-party code that could collect data.
  • Apart from Apple's purchase checks and Game Center, no network requests. The game works fully offline.

Notifications

If you turn on Daily reminder in Settings, Crosshue schedules local notifications on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. You can turn reminders off at any time, in Crosshue or in the Settings app.

Sharing

When you share a Daily result, Crosshue hands a short text summary (for example "Crosshue #2 ⭐⭐⭐") to the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes.

Children

Crosshue is suitable for all ages, and it collects no data from anyone.
