Purchases

I bought Crosshue Pro, but it isn't unlocked

Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. Then open the Pro sheet and tap Restore purchase, or go to Settings › About Crosshue › Restore.

If someone in your family approves your purchases (Ask to Buy), Pro unlocks as soon as they approve it.

Does Crosshue Pro work for my family?

Yes. Crosshue Pro supports Family Sharing, so everyone in your family group can use it on their own devices.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Progress

Will my progress move to a new iPhone or iPad?

Crosshue has no accounts, so your progress is saved on your device. It's included in your device's iCloud or computer backup, so restoring a backup to a new device brings it with you. Crosshue Pro comes back on any device signed in to your Apple Account.

How do I start again?

Settings › Reset progress… clears your stars, streaks and stats. It can't be undone. Crosshue Pro stays unlocked. To see the tutorial again without losing anything, use Settings › Replay the tutorial.

Playing

How do hints work?

Hints explain the next step in plain words, then pour the paint for you. They're free while you learn in the first world of each mode. After that you hold one hint at a time and earn another every two new levels you solve. With Crosshue Pro, hints are unlimited.

When does the Daily change?

At midnight, your local time. There are two Dailies every day: a print and a stamp sheet. The week runs from a gentle Monday to a fiendish Sunday.

Why didn't my Daily time appear on the leaderboard?

Only your first solve of a Daily counts, and you need to be signed in to Game Center. The leaderboards run on UTC days, so a Daily played late in the evening in the Americas can belong to the previous leaderboard day, and then it isn't posted.

Where are achievements and leaderboards?

In Stats › Achievements & leaderboards. To sign in or out of Game Center, use the Settings app › Game Center.

Settings

Can I play if I'm colour-blind?

Yes. Turn on Settings › Colour-blind patterns & labels and every paint gets its own pattern and a label, including the mixes. Crosshue also supports full VoiceOver.

How do I switch to the dark Night paper?

Settings › Paper: choose Auto (follow your device), Day or Night.

How do I get a daily reminder?

Turn on Settings › Daily reminder and pick a time under Remind me at. Reminders are local notifications, and they're skipped once you've solved the day's Daily. If they don't appear, check the Settings app › Notifications › Crosshue.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget, and search for Crosshue. On the Lock Screen, touch and hold it, tap Customise, then add the Crosshue widget. It shows today's Dailies and opens them with a tap.

Can I turn off the sound?

Yes. Settings has separate switches for Sound effects, Music and Haptics.
